Applying to Master of Science and Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential


Concurrent application to both the Master of Science and the Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential (SLPSC) is a requirement.

Applications for fall semester are due December 15

Application Requirements for All Applicants

Applicants must fulfill the following admission requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree: must be posted by the time student enters program
  • In order to apply, applicants must have already completed at least 6 undergraduate courses in Communicative Disorders and 9 courses prior to admission
  • GPA: 3.0 overall in baccalaureate coursework
  • Written English Proficiency Requirement (WEP)
  • Certificate of Clearance (COC) Fingerprint Requirement
  • Basic Skills Requirement

Application Process

Step 1:

  • Complete a University application (CSU Mentor)
  • Submit original transcripts from all universities attended

Step 2:

  • Complete a Department application (Communicative Disorders)
    Select both the M.S. in Communicative Disorders and the SLPSC
  • Submit original transcripts from all universities attended

Step 3:

After submitting your applications you can confirm your admission status on your
SFSU Gateway account.
